Tianzhu Buddhism, also known as East Asian Buddhism or Chinese Buddhism, traces its roots back to ancient India. It arrived in China during the Han Dynasty, around the 1st century CE. Over the centuries, it has melded with Taoism and Confucianism, creating a unique blend of spiritual practices and beliefs.
The meaning of the Tibetan word "Dzi" translates to "shine, brightness, clearness and splendor". Dzi beads are said to do a number of things. Some protect its wearer from negative energies or accidents, some attract wealth or wisdom, while others might bring you love and happiness.
